I have an early 96 5.0 explorer with some modifications and my car has been giving me the ***** lately. My exhaust reeks of gas, im getting less than 10mpg driving as efficently as possible in my mountain town. Also while im stopped at redlights it shakes some like its choking out or something. I figure these problems are stemming from my exhaust system being quite too custom. ive gone from 4 catylitic converters to one, and the o2 sensors have been placed in some odd positions for readings. i also have torque monster headers and i am assuming that my ecu is deteriorating as it seems to be getting worse bit by bit. What type of programmer/ upgrade or software could i use to begin untangling my ecu?
