I recently heard a story about someone getting trapped in a car when the battery cable vibrated loose and the power windows and locks became disabled.
The person was unable to open the windows or locks and had to call 911 for help. 911 didn't respond and she had to call her husband and ended up trapped in the car for half an hour waiting for help while in 95 degree sun.
There is a small panel on the rear hatch for access to unlatch lever they discovered.
Obviously the battery cable had been incorrectly tightened when the battery was replaced and the use of jumper cables may have also further dislodged or loosened the cable.
