Hello all... does anyone else have the (mild) 1.6" Eibachs installed? I've had 'em a while, but they have always squeaked a bit going over speed bumps and have gone through 2 sets of stock shocks in 40000 miles. I don't drive it hard (my wife usually drives this vehicle, actually), and...

I was told that the stock shocks were fine for the mild drop, and no one has ever been able to explain the rrr-eerr-rrr-errr sound up and over bumps and such, at slow speed. Any input? Thanks!

Mine squeaks over bumps but I have stock springs and shocks. I had the dealership look at it when it was in for warranty work and they told me it was the sway bar bushings. They wanted $100 to pull them off and lube them but I told them I would just replace them with poly ones myself(still haven't done it yet). It might not be your problem but it's worth a shot.

Hmmm. Nice call. That makes sense, because with the shorter springs the swaybar geometry changes, and probably for the worse if they already were dry. Thanks!

I had the same problems as far as going over speed bumps. I opted to do the Eibach anti-roll front and rear swaybars and ground force lowering springs. Solved the squeak problem and rides awesome!
