Electric Fan

I'm about to buy LowdPypes supercharger, and I'm planning on getting an electric fan. YES,YES, I've searched but there isn't much on V8 fans. Im looking on a fan to keep about 500 rwhp cool (for later on down the road). Does anyone know of a good, reliable electric fan and the cost ?? thanks, Beau

First measure how much room you got under there and then buy the biggest, deepest, electric fan you could find. Going dual and wiring them independently is a good idea also. When I had mine the temp auto setting did not always come on when it's supposed to. I would hook both to come on auto but can be turned on manually as well just in case.

Some good brands are Flex-a-lite (below) and Derale. Cost on the one below is around $200 at Summit Racing.

not gonna happen. Troll tried one... it wont work. first time you idle through Wendy's drive through it will overheat.

Really, why would it overheat if a fan is blowing ?? I've heard of guys with turbo stangs doing this with no prob.

if it overheats through a drive through that means the fans eventhough on cant move enough cfm to effectively cool the truck.....

I need to do something fan wise, because im gonna be poppin' belts when I put that Powerdyne on next week. What if I got the highest cfm flowing one ??

what did lowdpypes have for cooling on his truck? why cant you use that? and popping belts?

He had a belt driven fan, but didn't get around to an electric fan. Powerdynes are notorious for popping belts, I just wanna get more power and avoid trouble (from what he told me)
