I noticed several areas on carpet floor where there is a bulge and nothing supporting it underneath. Its like a spacer is missing or something. I wondered since I have a base model if xlt or limited models had something there instead.. Otherwise, why would this occur? Carpet fit and finish seems terrible. For reference I was checking just at drivers feet and in passenger floor just behind driver seat.

Go to the dealer and look at some others in the lot, if they dont have it then its likely a defect.

Even if was because other models may have something there, it is no reason for you to have what you describe. The fit and finish of the carpet should be what one would expect in a new vehicle. As Sgt1411 posted, if you have a concern, drop by your dealer and have the service department check it out.
