engin noise 2002 exploder 4.0

I bought my wife a 2002 explorer a few weeks ago with 198,000 km and lastnight i jumped in after parking it for a few hours and it started making a loud ticking noise, and today ive flushed the motor and did a oil change thinking it was a sticky lifter...that didnt fix it....i took the belt off and ran it for a few seconds still there....now i just got back in from checking the spark plugs and wires....nothing loose... i did notice the belt ten. bounces abit what the hell is wong with this thing... i hope its not the timing chain

if you took the belt off and noise is still there, its not the tentioner, or the accessories.

does the noise go away after it warms up?
