I am starting my engine swap tonight (91 4x4 auto). I have changed several engines, but never one in an explorer. Any sites have a good article on the swap that may cut time off of this for me? I could not find anything on this one. The stock 91 4.0 started knocking bad down low, and now has 2 knocks. One down low and one up top. I bought a used 4.0 with 60k to put back in it. The good thing is that the used motor is complete from pan to intake, waterpump to flywheel, and still has the manifolds on it
