Engine Code Reader

I have a 2007 Limited Explorer 4.6 V8. Recently the check engine light came on. I was wondering what type of code reader I would need to get for my explorer? Also if anyone has any idea's why the check engine light would have come on, that would help too. I checked the oil, everything seems fine, the explorer has just over 80000km on it.

If you just need the error code, a local auto parts store will read it for you.

Get the errors and post them here for advice on whats wrong, don't believe Skippy at the parts store.
