ENgine Fail safe mode?

What does this mean? I have an 05 Explorer and see this at times, it cuts power back, I have to turn it off and turn it back on and it goes away. Any ideas?

Uhm, I think it says something about this in the manual. It has something to do with your cooling failing I believe, it cuts back on power and relies on air cooling, can't remember exactly. Consult your owners manual. Good luck! hopefully just a sensor problem or something.

Not necessarily limited to cooling system issues. I had that issue when my Mass Airflow Sensor went bad. Get it on the computer to get the codes read.
