I believe they are full of it . Most OEM's build heaters to RUN when no vacuum is applied . Thier theory is if your heater vavle loses vacuum and it's -50 you'll have problems . If it fails and it's 90 then you'll be rolling down windows . It could hold a vacuum on it after the engine is shut off but I doubt it . If it does , cycle the dash switch a few times and it should release any vacuum on it . You shoud hear the doors inside the truck open and close a few times also . Be sure to cycle the door selector and the hot/cold dial . If you shut the truck off and it was in heater mode then all should be good anyway . I believe the heater valve on X's are a H pattern and might flow coolant before the valve all the time unless the heater is on anyway . Pop your hood and look for it , it's by the A/C box on the passenger side rear corner of the engine compartment .
