Check engine light came on, engine died, now won't start. Engine fires when turning over with starter, but won't run. Any ideas what can be wrong?

mine has done that a couple times.turned out to be a fuel pump relay.Don't know if that wrong with yours

I would disconnect the air flow senor and try to start it if it stays started drive it around the block if it runs good around the block you need a new Air Flow Sensor. Thats what mine needed

I would probably pull codes before doing anything else. See if that gives you any clues.
