It would not be a direct replacement. Isn't the '03 4.0L a SOHC? Or is the OHV still an option? If you're taking out an OHV and putting in an SOHC.. it's going to be a lot of work.
Welcome to Explorer Forum! You have to change A LOT of stuff other than the motor to make this work. It's not worth it. You might as well do the 4.6 ltr swap.
