After a little hiatus from the site, and, unfortunately a lacking of TLC for my ex, I started as I like to call it 'live the dream' again. I always made sure to keep the oil good, and the wheels rolling at good intervals, so, I guess it isnt that bad. To cut to the chase, before I took my ex off the road last, I had a problem of, hesitation, black smoke, lack of power, etc etc. Replace, o2 sensor, MAF Sensor, Coolant temp sensor as some kinda word of mouth unrelated could possibly be fix, to make a long story short, I replaced the fuel pressure regulator, and all the problems stopped.. Or so it seemed.... Ive been back driving my truck again for just over 3 months, and now, we're having those similar issues, hard starting in the morning, but then some mornings its fine. When she fires up in the AM before work, the "CHECK ENGINE" light comes on, she seems to run like a dream, then it shuts off, and it seems to run a little rougher. I happened to buy a code reader last time (when I replaced the FPR) so I thought I'd put my best sherlock holmes hat on, and see if I could get to the bottom of this.. Codes as follows..
KOEO : 14 C
(the code that worries me the most)
KOER : 21R, 13R, 77R
I cleaned up my MAF recently, and that made no change. I was wondering, while the truck is running, pulling the MAF plug should effect the running of the engine right? I know it definetly trips the dash light (CHECK ENGINE) but, I did that small in my mind experiment, and found no change in engine running. If anyone has an idea, it would be appreciated.
Maybe re-replace FPR?
