ERRATIC IDLE COLD START

Hey Group. Just Wanted to give you this Info. Have a 2001 Explorer Sport XLT 4.0. Had erratic Idle Cold start problems. Checked threads here on the Forum and Found the Factory recall For Intake manifold Gasket. Called the Dealer told them I wanted the recall done and Took it down for service. Next Day and the problem was "FIXED". Thanks to this Forum and the recall info found here. If your Explorer is exhibiting Cold Start erratic Idle "START HERE WITH YOUR FIX" Recall 0012. No charge and It does solve the problem....Contact your dealer for mileage info.....Group Thanks again.....Great Forum..............................Melt

Yes, I forgot to mention the INCREDIBLE help that I received when I sought info on the same cold start/idle problem on my 98 Sport.

I took my Ex to the Ford dude after consulting the board here, they did the ONB 00M12, and poof, the problem's gone.
