est. for repair cost

I have a real bad vibration in my 98 mountaineer. I been told I need u joint, tie rod ends, control arms. What do ya think this will set me back. Would it be a real pain in the ass to do it myself???

Upper control arms are going to cost you probably $400-500 to have done at a job alone. Those parts would cost you around $200 from a parts store, and they're not easy to put in. None of those repairs are for somebody who doesn't know what they're doing, and you're looking at a half to a full day's work doing all that. I would anticipate a bill of $700-800 from a shop for those repairs.
