So here's the deal...

I want a better sounding exhaust, a little louder.
I'm a cheap *******. Im willing to Spend up to 300 on Materials
A little more power would be nice, but I would like to squeez every last HP out of it.

Can I stick a flowmaster 70, or something on the stock piping? Anyone do this? I Cant Seem to find any Cat-Backs that fit my Make and Model, I Have a 2001 4-door, 56,000 miles, with a Mac Intake, Amsoil Filter, Amsoil Synthetics Throughout, and A Nice New Exaust Would make a diffrence in power and sound, I Dont want somthing that is so loud that it rips down the street like a 1970 Chevelle , I want somthing with some sound but nice power, Ive herd About Gibson, Edelbrock etc.... My choice comes down to the Flowmaster 50 or Flowmaster 70?? Is There a Complete Kit That i could buy with everything i need to just drop it in?? (Hardware, Pipe etc....) I Guess I Would like The complete setup, im guessing the pipe size would be 2.5in outer diameter?? Not Sure any thoughts or suggestions??? Also Does anyone know where to buy a complete kit online???

From what I've been led to understand from these forums, 2.5" pipe might even be too big for the SOHC. Virtually every post I've seen reccomends 2.25" maximum for N/A 4.0's. Furthermore, I have to comment- I'm not a huge fan of Flowmaser mufflers, myself. They're usually very loud, and very expensive. YOu described yourself as a "cheap *******," but $300 for materials alone is sky high, considering you can go to almost any muffler shop and have a top-shelf Thrush or Magnaflow welded in with all aluminized 2.25" tubing for well under that, I'm sure.
If $300 is your absoloute cieling and you're interested in decent power gains without all kinds of noise, I'd say start snooping around for a reputable muffler shop and save yourself a day in the driveway.

Keep it at 2.5" at the max. Im at 2.5" down from dual 2.25" and Im VERY happy. Single 2.5" is the way to go

Halfnuts, Im in tampa, only about 20 mins frmo you !

I have 2 one chamber flowmaster on my 99 sohc with a 3" single tail pipe it's pretty loud but it sounds good.
