Well guys, i finally got a 2.5" Catback exhaust done (heh, back in December) with a Flowmaster 40 muffler and its time to boast about it. $240 out the door. Man i sure love it! If anyone in Northern Illinois is looking for a guy who knows his stuff i HIGHLY reccommend McHenry Muffler. If you check out their web site you can see they did the exhaust work on the Elenor car from Gone in 60 Seconds, and a few other famous ones, most recently the car from x...

Being 5 minutes down the road from the Volo antique auto place it is not surprising that they work on the show cars that are on display at the place. But, yes, they do do nice work. Many of my buddys have had their rides done there and were extremely happy with the work.

FWIW, when I lived out that way I had good luck with Antioch Muffler and Brake as well

also Smith Automotive & Fleet Svc (847) 973-1650 did me well also, no job too big, they did the TH400 swap in my 1998 Camaro SS, Troy is the owner

i didnt know they had the antique shop down the street, thats cool to know. I drove an hour from Rockford to get the exhaust done and it was well worth it. My best friend had his F-250 done there and i loved the results, thats why i went there. My X sounds better than his duals with the Flowmaster 40(s) on it, which i brag about. Gotta love a Ford with a nice sounding exhaust!!

Thanks for the heads up! i live in milwaukee WI and have been looking for a quality exaust shop.
I know a few ford/explorer meets happen around the museum every year. the next one ill go to and drop the truck off for the day.

i was Quoted 165 by Childs Performance exhaust for a 2.25 inch pipe and 40 flowmaster is that a good price
