Well, my 97 v6 explorer is acting odd.

Just the other day, the check engine light started flashing.

Since then, I had to drive it 20 miles home. On the highway, the light was off and stayed off all the way home, but my temp. gauge was freaking out. It was going up almost all the way, then back to the middle, then up, then middle, then at the bottom, then up, etc

Since then, I replaced the thermostat and the sending unit, hoping to fix the problem, and it is yet to be resolved.

I have already checked/filled all the fluids, and it SHOULD be running good from what I understand.

Also, it shakes a little when I'm at a stop and slowly accelerate, but it seems to idle fine in park.

Any input would be great!

Flashing Check Engine means there is a misfire, that is sending fuel down the exhaust.

You'll need to get that fixed, or you could start a fire or at the least damage the catalytic converters.

Will do! Thanks!

Well, I took it to auto zone earlier today, and it turns out the 4th spark plug had to be replaced.

Changed it out, and now it's working great! Thanks again!
