Hi everyone,
I am new to this site, but I have been reading a few threads about the ARC system on the Ford Explorers (mine's a 98' Limited). I recently purchased the Monroe 40006 and 40007 rear shocks for my SUV. I thought this was the correct choice, but although I new that the previous owner replaced the electric air ride shocks with conventional one's, I didn't realize that he pretty much did away with all of the ARC system (compressor, hoses, etc..). I thought I could use these shocks independently to correct the lift (springs on drivers side are weak..sits low on that side) and ride (I tow a small travel trailer), but the shocks didn't come with any hoses, fittings, etc.. I purchased the AK-64 kit and thought I had the problem solved (this kit allows you to inflate the shocks independently) but the airlines in the kit are to small for these Monroe shocks (won't go in and lock). Is there an adaptor or other air kit that I can purchase to accomplish the same thing?
I appreciate your help.
