Wow...just got off the phone with my Insurance company to get a quote, for when and if i go to Texas.

My rate would drop for Two vehicles from $1300 to $600 for six months!! HOLY CRAP, that is a lot in savings...I guess more mods for the Ex is all that means!

What is the average you guys fork over? Its for 6 months by the way, Motorcycle and Boat are seperate.

for 6 months i pay $540.. ($90 a month)....that's with two vehicles on the policy.

what part of texas are you possibly moving to by the way?

I pay $700 for 6 months for the Ex and an Acura RDX. Maximum coverage available.

CT is very expensive for insurance, but I have excellent credit and a decent driving record, so that helps.

Probably around Killeen area, but Miami is sure a damn premium to pay for insurance.

I hear ya about credit and driving record. I'm done well since I spent 8 years in Germany when I got back it was hard to adjust to normal freeway speeds. But thats why I just set the cruise to keep me out of trouble. LOL!!

I'm paying $804 a year for my '11 Explorer Ltd. and '10 Fusion Sport here in Ohio.

When comparing insurance, you must disclose the amount of coverage you carry. Deductibles aren't too impactful, but someone who carries the minimum coverage limits will appear to be cheaper.

That said, my insurance dropped $100 per 6 months when I traded in my 2007 Titan 4x4 for the FWD Explorer.

Of course, there are a lot of variables when it comes to auto insurance. I have a clean driving record and excellent credit rating.
I pay $585 for 6 months for one car (2011 Exp). That's NJ for ya.

Clean driving record. About $1,000/ yr for 2 cars with $500 collision ded and $100 comprehensive ded in NC. Believe it or not, that's what I was paying for 1 car in MI.

EDIT: BTW the two cars are the '11 Ex Limited and an '09 Subaru Legacy

I pay $840 a year for 300/100/100 with a $500 Collision deductible and a $100 Comprehensive deductible in WI. I'm 30 and single with a minor point speeding violation 2 years ago.

My friend, I would argue against deductibles. The higher you go the less it is, I mean there is a difference when paying month to month or lump sum. Thats why I go with 1k deductible, anything under that I'll just take care of it.

It saves you several bucks in the long run.

Sorry, I should have added my coverages for comparison.

250/500/100k , $500 ded. collision, $0 ded. comp.

I pay $2040 a year for a 2010 Infiniti G37 Coupe and a 2011 Explorer XLT.

Right, but the difference between 500 and 1000 deductible is like 1% of the total premium...for me at least. If I change my coverage from 10/20k to 100/300k, it rises about 25%. I'm a 1k deductible kind of guy as well.

$407 for my explorer
$301 for my z06
6 months.
broward county.
getting old... 42.
you pay a premium for living in miami :)

I remember buying a kawasaki zx7 back in 93 and insurance was like $3k down here for a year.
almost half the price of my bike!
i ended up using my parents address in the tampa bay area for $1k.
