Howdy all.
New to the forum. I'm in to old Mopar Muscle and have a couple old Chargers. I have a 68 that I'm restoring and I also have a 73 Rallye that I bought from the original owner a couple years ago. It has 44k miles on it.
Anyway, I picked up a 96 Explorer XL 4x4 with a 4.0 and just over 70k miles on the clock. It was originally bought by the police department where they used it for just over a year, then went to the city water department where they rarely used it. I bought it a couple months ago and have been doing a little work to it.
I've put a set of Goodyear Wranglers on it, rebuilt the right side rocker panel (which I'll never do again). Right now I have the interior out of it cleaning carpet and everything else. The grey carpet is brown from spilled coffee. I repaired the drivers seat because the foam was split and broke down. I have a remote start that I still need to install and then I'll probably make it another play toy. The closer I get to finishing this, the more I'm liking it. It's going to end up looking really nice for a soon to be 17 year old truck. :smoke:
