Does anyone know if the explorer pro comp add a leaves will work on a 97 explorer sport? I found them at http://www.macromotive.com and they're only 34 bucks... Claim to lift 1.5 - 2 inches. I think they are for the 4 door explorers. Any insight would be appreciated. These sure look a lot sturdier than the cheap lift shackles I've seen... Thanks!

Email Explorer Pro Comp, they will be very helpful. Though they told me for a rear lift on my Explorer, they will have an Add-A-Leaf in about two months. I don't know what other years that covers..

The Explorer Pro Comp add-a-leaf that works for Explorers is part number 13120, I am pretty sure that is it. Is that the one you found?

When I was looking for the add-a-leafs, I was told not to use them on the single leaf style springs found on the Sport models. If you put it under the main spring, it will cause the main sping to ride on the ends of the add-a-leaf and in turn weaken the main spring where the add-a-leafs ends hit. Does that make sense? The guys at Macromotive told me that...Good luck!

rafar99,
Why not try the OME-36 2" lifted springs? they will give you a much better ride then a add-a-leaf or shackles. Not cheap, but well worth it.
Just my .02

Just a note on add-a-leaf springs: The only ones I've seen are designed to fit the multi-leaf stack. They have a very steep curve and cannot be matched to the flatter single 3" leaf on late model Sports. they will do exactly what MyExplorer says.

I can vouch for what Ray is saying about the OME springs; they ride and handle very well.
