Ok guys I need a little help. So im going down the interstate and the thing starts to jerk and run like crap. Almost like a spark plug wire came loose. So I pull over and i look around and without burning my hand made sure the wires were secure. I pressed on the coil to make sure those were down and it shocked the crap out of me. Not being so bright I did it again just to make sure I didnt touch anything but the wire, and I got shocked again. So I turned the car off and pressed on it to make sure it was down and it was.

Later, I put a screw driver on one of the wires on the coil and placed it close to metal and I could see the spark. I thought I would change the plug wires even though I did it a month ago. Maybe I got some bad ones, but I replaced them and its still running like crap but I dont get shocked anymore.

Anyone have this problem that was able to fix it?

Sounds like a grounding problem. Check your engine and frame grounds.

I second a bad/weak ground.

But I must say- "Not being so bright I did it again just to make sure I didnt touch anything but the wire, and I got shocked again" made me laugh- I do stupid stuff like that and end up yelling expletives at myself. :D

did your computer throw a misfire code yet?

I know it's weird but the misfire may not be spark related. Granted you did shock your curly's straight, ahem... twice which would technically mean they are now curly again, But I digress...

You may want to peek around at your vacuum lines, or just wait out the code from the computer. If it's a misfire you can feel there will be a code in short order.

Haven't changed the coils yet. But will be checking the ground first. Any chance it could be a fuel system problem? As I try to go faster there is more fuel demand ect ect.

Something else. Yesterday I was going up a hill and keeping up my speed, the CEL did flash for a few seconds and then went away.
