Explorer Vs. Ranger Chassis Similarities

Good Morning All,

I have a Meyer EZ Classic plow and mount off of a 2002 Ford Ranger that is in excellent shape and got for a good deal. Does anyone know if the front frame horns are identical on an 02-05 Explorer as the 02 Ranger? Looking to see if I can bolt this mount to an Explorer as I need an SUV more than another truck.

Did quite a bit of searching and couldn't find any EZ Classics mounted to Explorers. I have seen EZ Plus 2 and 4 pin mounts on one though (newer generation than the EZ Classic).

I think the Ranger would be very similar to a second gen Explorer. Since the third gen uses struts up front I’d guess the frames are quite different.

The reason I’m trying to go for a 3rd gen is to get a vehicle with 3 rows. Don’t think it was an option or there was even enough room in a 2nd gen.
