hey yall im new to the forum but not to explorers let hope this comes in handy. i built my truck from ground up, it has a 4.0 SOHC in it since i blew my old 5.0. usually im very good at this but right now i am stumped electrical is npot my thing. as it seems the other day i backed my lifted explorer up my inclined driveway noise lower than rear with less than a 1/4 tank, after i was driving allday with no issues like i have for over a year now. well later i tried starting her and nothing just cranked over and over. i had a problem before with it not startin that way so i leveled it out in the past and a hour or so later she fired up but this time she just cranks and cranks and cranks will not fire let alone gurgle. i bought 5 gals of gas put it in nada so im sitting at a lil less than half a tank currently. next i checked for spark and roger that we are getting spark at plugs and at coil pack, the fuel pump is working and is pushing fuel to the rail at a spec pressure. so i sumed those out real quick. so im getting air fuel and spark but no ignite so i looked further maybe it was my CPS crank positioning sensor, so i bought a new one, and nada didnt make a difference, so i then went to the cam sensor and got a new one and the same thing nothing has changed. my PATS system is normal no anti theft issue, but for some reason it seems my injectors are not doing their job, i do not have a diode to be sure of it due to tools being stolen but regardless what would cause the injectors not to work properly, of course we have to check all fuses and relays and as suspected we are good to go there. next thought is timing but i am very sure she didnt jump time sitting in my driveway not running. my sparkplugs are less than a month old, i have normal oil pressure and that was changed as well during my plug change. i am mechanically inclined but this has got me folled by my tail. without no computer, i cant read whats wrong, i live more than a hour away from a shop or dealer that could read my truck and towing is not an option as well as no one i know has a trailer big enough for my lifted and wide stanced biatch. so im looking at a few things. either timing is out which i very highly doubt and i can fix easily if it is, my computer got fried, or my injectors arnt getting power. input would be best to help me locate the issue. my trains horns are getting lonely out there without being able to scare the jesus outta some folks. i build buggies and would have never guessed to be stumped like this as well as 4 mechanics that are good friends have no idea now either.
