While driving to an entered destination, if voice guidance is on, the system will automatically lower the volume to the left speakers when the female voice announces the next turn or whatever. So far so good.

But if guidance is turned off it STILL lowers the volume. :(

This seems like a bug.

Anyone else verify this?

I havent really noticed but things like that are why Im getting rod of my stock unit for aftermarket. My N1 you can have it lower the volume or not. Ill check on the ride around today.

Now I don't feel bad that Ford screwed up on ours and didn't include the nav.

That is definitly a bug. It sounds a lot like the bug in my Pioneer aftermarket unit, but backwards. If you turn off voice navigation on my AVIC-D2, it still speaks to you, it just doesn't mute the music anymore.

See now I can have it either mute and talk, talk with no mute or no mute/no talk period on my N1.
