I recently bought a new-to-me 1994 Explorer XLT. It currently has an aftermarket radio in it (Awia, I think.) I want to get rid of it and return to original. I asked the previous if he still had the factory radio. He said he tossed it.
So I'm wondering what kinda radio did it had from the factory? How do I find out? Is it the DIN style plug? I haven't even removed the bezel to see if it was plugged in or spliced in.
FWIW, on the rear passenger side, the wheel cover was supposed to have a small area with a net where you can store junk in it. My Explorer doesn't have that. It's covered completely, and there is a speaker in the smack dab of it. Above it on the left is a small insigna that says "Ford JBL System".
