Factory sound system problems

I'm having an aggravating time with my Factory installed JBL sound system. When operatign the 6 CD player as the vehicle is moving, the music volume tends to fade sharply in and out, especially between the front and rear right speakers. Any way to address this sound problem?

hmm..i have never heard of that. hopfully somone can help. but im really glad to see another alaskan. and close to town noless.

Might be the connections at the amp, common problem. The amp is in the right panel in the cargo area. Pull the panel off and jiggle the connections, or if you can get to them well enough clean them.

I had a similar problem with my 97 a couple years after I bought it. The front left speaker would start to crackle and then drop out. If I cranked really loud it would come back for a while but would eventually go again. Took it in for warranty service twice. On the second trip they replaced the amp.
Within the past year, it started to do the same. I haven't had a chance to check it out but will probably check the connection thing first as mentioned above.
