I changed mine when it got to 100,000. I'm not sure what the factory recommended interval is though. Also, I stuck my old belt in the cargo area (panel above the drivers side wheelwell) just in case the replaced one goes unexpectedly.
It took me about 5 minutes on my '97 SOHC. I did have to have my Wife hold the ratchet once I relieved the tension from the tensioner so that I could use both hands to fish the belt around all of the pulleys.
