Hi guys, can't stress how important this is for me at the moment..... It's looking like a taredown is eminent at this point to fix my seepy leak. the shop want 1K to replace the head gaskets and 1500 to replace the heads. I reall don't want to spend that many duckets...
so, i'm gonna do it myself. for the hell of it i was looking on ebay and found this gasket set (#8050747722) does this look correct for my 96 xlt 4.0 OHV???? if so, then should i snatch it up instead of spending 135 on a head set from napa?
thanks
tony

It's not FelPro - but it's a gasket.

It says it'll fit. If not, you need to contact that guy!

No Brainer
Buy the set from Napa, no hassle to return them if they are not the right gaskets

never heard of ROL either, did some research and they seem to check out, they've got this special high temp protection technology integraded into their head gaskets, we'll see. i bought em, ended up paying 25 total for the head set, so even if they are shady i'm not out a whloe lot. i'll wait to get them and compare them to the left over head set from napa i used when i did my lower intake mani.
BTW, I'm going to purchase new heads when i start this, napa says they're 525 for a rebuilt set, forgot to ask if the heads come complete, is it pretty much standard that rebuilt heads come complete???? any other aftermarket heads that would give me a better bang for my buck, i.e. summit racing, dart, ect....?
thanks
tony
