Hey everyone,
New here, name is Daniel. Bought a 98 xlt from my brother-in-law about six months ago for my g/f to drive. She actually registered here awhile ago, but i don't believe she ever posted.
It's the only Ford in the driveway, the three others are GMs. WAIT! Before I'm tossed overboard though I will tell you there is a 67 Fairlane 500 INSIDE the garage that I'm working on.
I am a GM guy so some of the Ford stuff is foreign to me, picking it up as I go along.
I will admit this truck is easy to work on. We had a few basic things fail on it: battery/alt, heater control valve, FR hub, & front brakes. Even @ 109K everything came off and went back on fairly easy. So, I'm impressed--still not getting rid of my C10 tho.
:
anyway, I'm a computer geek (went to Purdue for that). never used it professionally though, worked at an auto shop for ten years while I was in school then went to work for the RR (better benefits). I have a thing for electronics and have this car problem where I really can't leave anything stock.
pretty much it for now. Lurked for awhile but seen some interesting discussions that necessitated me registering.

(didn't know if i was in the right spot before)
