Ok I had posted that I should have recieved my superchip about 2 weeks ago. I ordered it from Chris at Smartyparts. Turns out there was a mix up in the mail. He sent it out friday the 25th, but it got sent back to him due to a address error. Unfortunatly he didnt know this till last friday because his store was closed because of vacation last week! So he sent me out a new one next day air on friday the first. I recieved it on tuesday because I had it sent to work(its safer, then to my apartment). I installed it no problem, but my truck wouldnt start :-( I called superchips, and I needed a jumper sodered on to my computer. So I next day aired it to them, and they sent it back the same day. Very nice customer service. I just recieved it about a hour ago. Installed it again no problem. It started up just fine. It idles a little low, but I think that may be because I still have a quarter tank of regular in it. I will drive it around tonight, and post back tonight what I think.
Just a note about superchips and Smartyparts. I recieved great customer service from both, and highly reccomend them.

Ok well I took my baby out during my lunch today at work for a 20 mile test drive. WOW thats all I have to say. First off, low RPM acceleration doesnt seem too much changed. But once I get her about 3500, WOW. What I did was cruised to a straight stretch of highway about 5 miles long. I drove back and forth at normal speed of traffic 60-70mph on a stretch of the highway. I saw that there was no police, and waited for a good opportunity to open it up. After 3 times around I passed on car, and saw nothing but open highway till the next exit :-) I had been driving the same stretch so new there were no surprises waiting for me. So I gunned it. I got it up to a little above 110, before I chickened out. Right before I let off the gas I glanced at my speed and tach. I was at about 113, and a little over 6k. Now the crazy thing is I thought I was in 5th, and was impressed. Just before I let off the gas, it shifted again!!! That means I was going 110, and I had another gear. Geez. To be honest I was concentrating on looking for police, or any other surprises so I didnt pay attention to what gear I was in. I was impress with 110. I have no idea how fast I could possibly go. When it did shift into 5th, the tach dropped back to about 3800. So you can all take your guesses as to what it will top out at. I wont try going faster then that unless I have a safer way to do it. I know I will catch some flack for this, but I did it in the safest way possible on public roads. There was no other traffic, anywhere near me, and I drive that road every day. I know alot of people have asked about it, so I thought I would post my experience.

Now I am just another inch close to purchasing one..... Oh, and no slack about speeding - everyone's just as guilty if they go any bit over the speed limit (even just 5mph). Therefore let only the man who has never sped before be the first to cast a stone.

Driver's license and registration please! :) Jornum, did you have to custom burn the chip?

Ok now I'm getting one and speeding I did 85mph from Austin to San Antonio which is 65 mile drive you should have seen how hot the girl was in the Porsche.

Jornum's experience was similar to mine WRT the Superchips chip. I did notice an increase in power across the band, although probably not as big as was advertized. Mine was not custom either, they just matched the code to the ECU code that you send in.

I haven't tried a top speed run, but I can see from Jornum's experience that the limiter is either raised or eliminated.
