Couple of things threw me some curves but all ended well. This was a 91 4liter. First off the only place that had the gaskits I needed was Ford, the ones above and below the fuel manifold without having to buy more than I needed. Also Ford had to order the Injector boots. Not the tips that cover injectors spray end but the tapered ones that are dirt seal around the manifold. Had one bad injector plug, the one tucked under the fuel regulator. Again check ford & mercury dealers there is a couple of company that make third party replacement plugs, had to cut and solder the new plug and harness into the old harness. They only had one in stock!!!.
Did not have to remove the fuel line into the regulator only the return line.
Runs amazingly better.
When you looked into the manifold down the place where the injector go. It looked like a clogged artery. So I used one of those flexible grabber things and shoved a piece of a shop cloths done the manifold until it could be seen under the injector port. Then I used a 45cal bore brush to remove the crud. Then vacuumed out the hole and finished cleaning it up with some cotton patchs wrapped around the brush and carb cleaner. I then pulled the rag out of manifold and then shoved a piece of 3/4 hose down intake attached to shop vac.
USed a place called Sunrise carb for the rebuild of the injectors, $158.00 including shipping. Mailed them monday had them back Friday

You'll need lots of rags, shop vac, carb cleaner, and some good light. No fun but worth the effort.
