Ok so im sitting here waiting for my tax return (still) so i can get my body lift and spindles but i just noticed in the documentation that came with my fipk it says, and i qoute..

"NOTE: This kit was not designed to fit vehicles with a body lift."

All ive got to say is WTF? Does this mean that if i want to put a body lift on ive got to get rid of the fipk? I would hate to put a 100 dollar body lift on and then have to get rid of my 250 dollar intake...

Well, the 'floor' where your airbox mounts is going to move up, so you might not have room for the heat shield and large filter. If you had a gen I I'd say just get some adapters and curved tubing and snake the intake tube up a bit to give you room. However, if you have the gen II you have the KN intake tube and probably don't want to cut that up. I'd put the body lift on and see what happens. Even if you do have to modify the KN kit, you should be able to make it work without many problems.

Alec is right about the Gen I. My Gen I. FIPK fits just fine with my 3" body lift. My kit doesn't have a box to mount the filter in. All it has is a bunch of 1/2" wide brackets that you piece together and bolt it to the two holes in the bottom pan that the original air-box plugged in to. My Gen. I kit also uses my stock air intake hose which is more than flexible enough to adjust for the three inch difference. I believe the Gen. II kits come with a hard intake tube that probably isn't nearly as flexible. I'm sure with some minor modifications it could be made to work, even if it means using your factory intake hose in place of the FIPK one.
