1997 Explorer Limited 5.0
Hello,

I have picked up a 97 Explorer 5.0 Limited for a great price. It needs some serious love, but thats why I am here. I have been roaming various sites looking for DIY info to get this baby back on the road, and I think this is the place. Look forward, and thank you all in advance for the posts that will get me there.

Welcome! What's the overall plan with your new truck?

Welcome! What's the overall plan with your new truck?

The plan is to make it my work/camping truck to replace the Early 70s truck I restored and am using now, which is none too economical. This will be the first ford engine I have worked on, so it will be an adjustment, but I am excited about the project.

welcome ...take a look around and have fun..use the search lots most questions about these trucks have been asked and answered lots, but feel free to ask questions as well.

What kinda 70's truck? Be ready for 13mm bolts lol

There's lots of info on here regarding offroad/expedition/camping builds. Mine is an expedition build, still working on installing on board water. I just can't come up with a plan I like and stop before I finish.

Gary, welcome.
