I was looking up the previous repairs to my '94 X Limited done during the time it was being used by a family member and I found that the engine computer had been changed. The new computer has a NAPA P/N of XTP85820 but they also listed another number T # 373302.
I have checked with both the local NAPA and Advance Auto Parts stores and neither can provide any information or documentation about these remanufacturered units.
The Advanced Auto web site shows pictures of the unit:
http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_Engine-Computer-Cardone_19700808-P_248_R|GRPTUNEAMS_425832562___
and it looks like there is a connector that just might be useful.
Does anyone know of or have experience with these remanufacturered units?
Can we read the program that is in there? Can we alter it?
Appreciate any help.
Bill
