Hey everyone, 2000 Explorer limited SOHC 4.0
I just got home from a trip that i was away for 4 days and when i got back the battery was dead, it would not boost, so i hooked up a charger to it when i started it, the ABS light was on my power windows did not work no interior lights, my rpm gauge was not working, and everything was dim, i moved it down the driveway and it did not seem to struggle with that, is my battery or alternator pooched or??? any help is greatly appreciated
Sorry for the novel

Put the charger on it overnight. See if the battery holds a 12.5 or more charge.
Start the truck, put a volt meter on it, see the voltage increases to 13.5 - 14 volts.

If both of those readings are confirmed, your charging system is in good shape. You can take that a step further and have Advance Auto check the cold cranking amp's your battery is supplying by bringing the battery into their store.

If all checks OK and you're still having electrical issues, check all fuses and connections.

OR go to any local privately owned auto parts store and help the local economy instead of the big businesses...most will do it with the battery still in the truck and the customer service is WAY better then the big chains.
