Ok, i have a 94 xlt and it has 177,000 on it. now it seems like ive replaced everything that could go wrong with it except the engine itself. But runs brand new. the only thing i havnt replaced is suspension parts. yeah i have put new shocks on but that has been it. i want to lift the X 3 or 4 inchs. considering body lift b/c of my budget. but would rather have a suspension lift. Now, would it be alright to go ahead with any kind of lift because of the milage? and if it is ok, what kind of lift should i get that would be relativly cheap. any kind of info would help out alot! im also considering some exhaust work done. any info there would be great too! thanks! Brandon

you can do a cheap suspension lift for about 2-3" i would say stay away from body lifts...

you can do a search for F150 coil spacers and possibly extended coils in the front -- an alignment will be needed

you can lift the rear with add a leafs and shackles....

a suspension lift really doenst replace much in terms of the suspension.... you are going to need to see if you need balljoints, tierods and things liek that... those are the important suspension pieces....

thanks! i replaced the ball joint about 2 years ago and my tie rod ends are fine. now how much would that all cost? under a couple hundred? and would it be easy to install?

yeah, its under a copule hundred... do a search, you will find it all

thanks for the info! just wanted to make sure that i could install everything myself without tying my truck up for a few days.

i just found a mako lift for 100. it comes with the coil spacer and 2 addaleaf. no shackels tho. http://www.go2rdsi.com/racing/viral.html
thats the site. check it out and see if thats what i would need and if that includes everything i need including hardware.
