(everything except the automatic ride height) NO MODS

It has transmission issues to the tune of around $2600.
Also needs Plugs, wires and shocks. (who knows what else)

Question is fix it, trade it or part it out?

I agree with the last reply...fix it!! ;-) Sure it's some cash out of the pocket now, but it beats having multiple years of payments on a new vehicle, etc....

Just my $.02.

Thanks for the response guys. I''m getting estimates and warranty information this morning.

I forgot to mention, my xplodr has 150K miles on it. Does that make a difference?

Well, I did it.....she should be ready tmrw. New Tranny, 3yr/100,000 mile warranty, new shocks, new plugs and wires! Shocking price tag! I'll be keeping her for quite some time....
Looks like a suspension lift is in order now! LOL!

awesome!!! how'd you do on the tranny? i hear they get pretty expensive.....not looking forward to that day for mine.

good call on your part! Ford just bumped up their warranty on engines and tranny's from 3/75 to 3/100 about a year ago. I bought a 5.4L Windsor 2 weeks ago to put in a truck I'm selling. Hey, It's a hell of a lot less than a car AND insurance payment! Anything less than 3 G's is good for a tranny nowadays!

Yeah, that was my thinking, $500/month for a few months or $500 x 60 months. The choice became clear. AND a local shop qouted me the same price with 12/12 warranty (same transmission).
Do you know where to get the best price on a suspensioin lift?
Is it really worth it compared to a body lift?:exporange
