I was bored today and decided to do the fog light mod, so that they come on with the running lamps, and stay on with the high beams. Only took about 10 minutes, and I love the outcome :)

I also purchased a set of mint condition seats from a 2000 Explorer at my local junkyard for $50.00. They are powered, and have lumbar as well. Unfortunately they were gray, but I took the willow green covers off of my old seats, and slid it onto the new ones. I haven't taken a picture yet, but I love them, a lot more comfortable.

Just thought I'd share.

Niiiccce!

I have a '96 and my fog lights only come on with high beam.
I'd prefer a separate switch.

Anyway - recently bought a nudge bar from a local guy on ebay. Came with two spotlights. I'll get them wired separately at least.

What's that item right at the front of your grill? Looks like a fruitbat trying to do rude things to your Ford badge!

Im interested in getting my fog lights to stay on when I use my high beams
how did you do it ?

Hahaha, its a Christmas wreath :p

Also no Ford badges here, it's a 1997 Mercury Mountaineer. You can see it by clicking the link in my signature.

It could be a little different on a 4.0, but on my 5.0, under the air box there is a small relay box, remove it and take the bottom cover off, cut the dark blue wire with a light green line on it, and add about 12" of wire to the part of wire still coming out of the relay box, and splice that into the brown wire on the running lights. Will make them come on with the running lights and stay on with the high beams.

Can give more detail if needed.

I want to say the colors change with years, but it was the same color for my '96 5.0L. It's super easy, its great for rainy days just to have the running lights on with the fogs.
