In 1997 I ran over a deer in my 95 explorer sport. I had the local Ford dealershp fix it. It cost over $2000 to get it fixed. Well, the passenger side fog light keeps going out. I have replaced the light about 4 times. Only four times because I don't have to money to replace more often. It's out now. My dad and I took the mount out and noticed that the driver on the driver side the lens snaps on to the mount. And the passenger side the lens has been glued to the mount. I think that it's getting moisture in it. How can we fix this. We checked the seal on the light bulb and it's fine.

I had the same problem. I took the assembley off, with the lens on I turned it over and filled the gap between the lens and housing with silicone. I haven't had to but a single bulb since.

Phantom, that was a good idea. I was going to post that James simply buy a new assembly, but that would be quite expensive. If you can seal it up, do it. It probably got jarred loose in the accident and was not noticed when they put the truck back together. Moisture, along with any dirt will cause premature failure of halogen bulbs. I'm sure that you already know not to touch the glass part of the bulb when replacing it.

Ok well my passenger side fog light bulb exploded inside the case. Moisture has since got in it. Well i took it out. Rinsed the inside cause it was nasty but now my question is how do i make it completely dry on the inside. The lens is nonremoveable so i only have access through the hole where the bulb goes. Does anyone have any ideas?

Bumpers.com will sell new bumpers for only $300 per bumper, they are slightly blemished, but nothing big, i put a 99-01 bumper with the circle foglights on mine and it looks awesome! I'd check it out if i were ya. Jason Peterson
