For those that took off your front bumper 95-2000

I was wondering if your front bumper mounts were crooked and not perfectly straight and aligned. I took off my front bumper and noticed that my bumper mounts were both tilted inward and was wondering if I bent my frame. The guy at the body shops said that's not and indicator that i bent my frame and that that's bent to hold my bumper up. The weird thing is that my bumper doesn't look crooked either.

You are correct, they are not straight when new. I don't think it would be very easy to bend the frame with our tin & plastic bumpers!

So are u saying that your front bumper mounts are also crooked? Cus i've seen some rangers bumper mounts that are straight and aligned. I think i bent my frame because i jumped it not because i got in an accident.

I've taken off two bumpers, '95 and '97, both were crooked. They're just a piece of stamped steel, most probably aren't even made straightl.
