Anybody with a '16 noticed this problem? Did the exhaust change for '16?

Yes to the first question. Check out post 2017 in the "Exhaust Smell" thread.

Hope this goes far. nothing worse then worrying about my family on a long road trip being in the back and having a nap. I open the windows every little bit just to get some fresh air inside.

Trying to get the dealer do admit anything was a waste of time.

I think Ford knows the issue is big and even has a procedure to seal the body and update the HVAC module through module programming in IDS. Why they don't do a recall is beyond me because carbon monoxide is no joke. This is the message I got when trying to update the HVAC module in my Explorer.
