This is how Ford works with these updates. They give a general release date and then as the time gets closer, they either push it back or get more specific. Usually they release it to dealers first. You can then go to the dealer and have it done (free of charge) or wait until it shows up either in the mail or via syncmyride.
There will never be the "magical" fix that makes MFT what it should be. Part of it is Ford's stubbon refusal to truly beta test the software. Part of its Ford's decision to use Flash. Part of it is just the nature of the beast -there are too many different peripherals that MFT has to integrate with. Too many different peripheral device manufacturers with different interpretations of the Bluetooth standard, etc....
I've had my Ex for over 2 years now and I'm on about release #4 and honestly, I haven't seen much if any improvement. in some ways the newer releases are better, but in other ways they are worse (no progress bar on the media player and smaller cover art come time mind). My thought is that the best we can hope for is small improvements.
couldnt have said it better myself... MFT is such a flop that it will most likely steer me away from Ford when it comes to future vehicle purchases.
