well the best way to make sure you get gas is
open the window of teh drivers side
open the hood
turn the key and listen for the click hisss of teh fuel pump
try it several times to be sure
also listen thru the gas cap for th whirrring of teh pump
also feel the relay and see if it clicks when you turn teh key
swap out relays with teh ac one see if taht works they are th same
on the fuel rail they have a shrader valve
like on a tire
stick a screwdriver and see if gas squirts out
its possible the pick up screen is clogged on the fuel pump but not very likely
if you dont hear the pump come on then its either not getting voltage or its toast
before you drop th tank ( not a fun job) check the fuel pump connector for voltage if it has it then drop the tank
dropping the tank is no fun
its easier to pull the bed off if you can the filler hose is a pain but its easier then bench pressing the tank and making sure the filler hose isnt kinked
ITS NOT A FUN JOB
i had to redo mine 12 times!
make sure the pump is working before you totally install the tank hook it up and turn the key
if you already cheked the safety roll switch and made sure its not taht i would highly suggest splicing the wires and getting rid of taht thing just to be sure
before you buy a $200 pump and install it
make sure your pump does NOT work with a 12 volt
make sure your connector is getting 12 volts
mistakes i made hopefully 1 time only
good luck
