My four wheel drive seems to want to kick out while driving. Is there any hope?? Is there an adjustment on the actuator or cable or whatever caues the system to engage?

Thanks:salute:

Thanks for the reply. The system that seems to be at issue on that page is for the Automatic traction control. Mine is the type where you need to turn it on at the switch on the dash. I did get under it and found the servo motor had an adjusment on the plastic cover, it's a very small adjustment but I can see that it is only for setting the motor start/stop points. I broke all three screws trying to loosen them so I had to drill and tap them to reintall the screws. I made a slight adjustment and it seems to work fine now. Thanks again for the re:salute:sponse.

I have no ATC. The issue was the 4X4 control module. The little motor only shifts from high to low. If you have a problem with it dropping out of 4H, it isn't the shift motor adjustment.
Between H and L in the transfer case is a neutral position. My shift motor won't stop there, but presumeably there was an option for towing it or something. If the shift motor is badly adjusted, I would expect it to land on neutral and then you would have zero-wheel drive.
