My daughters 2001 (3rd generation) has been banging like mad in the rear. Wasn't hard to find that both frame bushings had turned to powder, good job Ford. Anyway this is a budget college truck and only plan on doing the rears, the others are a lot better. Anyone know where I can buy 2 bushings and not the whole kit besides the dealer? They want $118 for 2 bushings, top and bottom and 2 new bolts. Anyone have a couple good ones or know somewhere I can buy some aftermarket cheaper, no luck on Ebay. Also the easiest way I read to replace them was to remove the rear bumper, sawzall the bolts off, long 2x4 in frame and pry just enough to slide the new ones in. Have a neighbor that has a hydraulic wedge tool that can pry it, might try that as well. Anyway just looking for advise on this project. BTW, also read that 98 models will fit, is that true? Thanks yall
