Freezer plug blow out?

If the water pump is seeping coolant onto the ground you will be loosing coolant and pressure all the time. That needs to get fixed..

You won't get "more" pressure because of that.. and adding air somehow won't give you more pressure either.

I'd say forget about having "too much" pressure in there.. Those rubber temporary freeze plugs never stay in anyway.

Alright, going to go brass. Could all this be caused by a blockage in the cooling system? and no there is no leaking on the floor, though I have been told that fords impellers are plastic?
 






I wouldn't worry about it being caused by anything other than an old/corroded freeze plug until after you have the freeze plug changed.

Once the freeze plug is changed, then if you still have an issue we can attack that one then. As it sits now, I only see the freeze plug being the issue, not anything that caused it to pop up.

So, the guy who installed thr rubber one has said he needs the tool to accomplish installing this. My thoughts are, can I remove the front tire and have enough access to do this? What if any is the easiest. I am tired of waiting.
 






Step 1, find another mechanic..

The tool is something a good mechanic should already have.. Snap On and Mac I "know" make that tool..

here is a pic of the mac set...

You can see its just basically a piece of metal that fits in the plug, and an extension with a ball end.. and one of the extension pieces can be at an angle.

You can see how I got a socket and a wobble extension to work as it is basically the same thing.

I can't say if you can get to it or not, you should be able to.. but you will most likely need to remove the inner fenderwell, and possibly move something out of the way. If its behind a motor mount, just support the motor with a jackstand, pull the mount out of the way and then install it.

amen, I was in a bind and thought that replacing it with another rubber one was what it needed. Since then I have educated myself, I hate to sound racist but he is puerto rican and in Orlando. So unfortunately any time you deal with a mechanic that is, your bound to end up wishing you just took the time to do it yourself. It looks like I have enough space its just at an angle and I want to make sure if I start this I can finish it in a reasonable time. Also, what size socket do you recommend?

by the way the plug I am trying to get to is the one behind/below the ac compressor and transmission fluid container
