Hey i'm from the other side of the land of jeeps. Got a question. Since my wheel bearings are going out and have to replace the entire hub. I figure i try and go the cheap way out. What size axles do you guys have up front? Also would you know the size axle it is on the Bronco II? Both have 5x4.5 bolt pattern right?

Thanks!

First off - Welcome to the board! You're welcome to join in any of our discussions about pretty much anything.

91-94 Explorers have a Dana 35 TTB, Bronco 2's may have either a D28 or a D35. Only trouble is, I don't know if you can use those parts since we have a TTB (independent front suspension) and you've got a solid front axle. But the bolt pattern is 5x4.5; I have a friend who wants to buy my Explorer rims to put on his '94 XJ. I don't know if I answered your question at all, though. What do you mean by axle size? Like number of splines of the axleshafts? I don't know the spline count for 91-94 Explorer fronts. 95-up Explorers have a different IFS with CV joints and halfshafts. :smoke:

Yea i meant type of axle. Thanks for the info!
