I recently went to get my oil changed and they told me that my front differential input seal was leaking. Every time i turn or get in a little bit of mud it makes a weird sound like its trying to switch power from one side to another. I recently found out that the 4 wheel drive works great. I'm just wondering if 4 wheel drive all the time will eventually cost me a lot of money with replacing seals and differentials all the time, and wondering if anyone has experienced the same problems. Does anyone have a clue why the seal would leak?

I'm just wondering if 4 wheel drive all the time Do you mean it has AWD (All-Wheel Drive)?

eventually cost me a lot of money with replacing seals and differentials No. If it's AWD, it's pretty "bulletproof".

front differential input seal was leaking Does this mean the pinion gear seal? If so, such issues are commonplace. imp
